We all met at the Robberg parking area 8.30 in the morning. What a pleasant, crisp but sunny morning it was; just perfect for our hike around Robberg. At the beginning we had to deal with wet and therefore slippery patches but soon the sun did her bit in drying the soil. We began our hike with a moderately strenuous uphill walk with incredible scenery views over shoreline and sea, with thriving Cape Fur Seal colonies enjoying themselves and beautiful fynbos everywhere. We passed the sandbank and carried on further to the point.

The point behind us, it was time to rest and have a bite. The sea surrounding us was very rough and it was fascinating watching the waves clashing on to the rocks.

Later there was even a chance for a dip into the cold water but only one member was brave enough and went for a swim. The walk took us approx. 4 hours, we were back at the parking area 12.30pm

Now it was time for the relaxing part of the day. The Lookout Deck Restaurant in Plettenberg Bay was waiting for us and most of the participants did not want to miss it.
